Yeah, if it only were that simple... The best way and easiest way I found to crack your own WiFi is using Kali Linux and using the suite of tools known as aircrack-ng. Reaver and some other tools will help too. Also, to use most (if not all) WiFi cracking tools you need to put your WLAN adapter into monitor mode. With monitor mode you don't have to associate to a wireless station to receive packets. Basically you let your WLAN adapter capture any packets it can find like an antenna. In addition you can usually use packet injection (create packets to fool the access point) in this mode, provided the driver supports it. So to sum it up:

1) Learn how to use Linux (advised)
2) Download and put Kali Linux on a USB key
3) Use aircrack-ng or reaver or similar to crack (I don't have a good guide for this, you might have to look around a bit)

Good luck!

I don't want to derail the thread. But I've tried helping this guy before and I and many others have sent him a lot of information. Maybe this time... maybe this time...

You know, just for fun, when I ever code something meant for hacking I'm going to make a big red button that says 'Click to execute hack'. Whether it will then actually do something, I'm still debating.

Edit: I'm sorry limdis, couldn't help myself xD
