I'm running backtrack r3 (OS), when preforming a Credential harvester attack do i need to use the victims ip address for them to open the clone website (facebook) on their PC? And can this even be opened in windows??does it need to be their Local area network ip or Public ip

I'm new to this kind of stuff okay,I use a tutorial on how to do this on the website link removed and a ebook named The Hackers underground handbook but they both told me to write in terminal ifconfig and get my ip address it works perfectly on my pc but on other pc it don't so I'm asking if something else should be there?
