Basic Mission 9

Alright I beat this mission but here's the thing that annoys me about it.

Entering ../../ doesn't work. It leads right to that security error which is garbage because it just confuses people. I mean if you think that command doesn't work why would you even bother adding something onto it?

Some user said in this topic that if you knew ../../ works then you should think about trying to add something to it. But that's the thing, it doesn't work.

if you are still stuck on this one try going back to basic 8 it "REALLY HELPS WITH BASIC 9"

That is the correct way to do 8. But for number 9 you're trying to get to a different location. Read the description carefully. Put ../ out of your mind. Whoever said the thing about ../ + ../, it just confused me more. Just realize the location you need to go and go to it.

Seriously, I just basically gave it to you.

Oh my god did you ever. Man, thanks to your post I was able to figure this one out. How simple does it get? lol. Anyway, pay VERY CLOSE attention to what he says here. JUST GO TO WHERE YOU NEED TO BE.

Woooh, finally got past this pain in the arse. I figured out pretty early about where to type the command, but the filter thing kept getting me.

i am still trying my best to pass this basic mission 9. i has been 2-3 hrs i think. i am thinking of solving the problem tommorow when everything is head is cleared.

that ../../ hint was very misleading, but the answer is just to combine what you did in mission 8 and what is said in mission 9. Hope that helps.

Just ignore the hints if you value your sanity...and the limitations of the script...just ignore everything....eat some chocolate cake and continue ignoring the hints. Then and only then will you figure it out.

Omg, I want to kill myself after all the time I spent on this.

One guy said he knew he had gone back two using ../../, but think about that directory and how it contains the path to 8 as well as the path to 9. Now you have to differentiate between the two.
