I dont believe that DOSing a site is a true form of hacking as its testing the strength of the server rather than the code itself, so in my eyes you have no hacked this site mainly just taking the easy route out.

Submit it as a private bug report on the HTS main page so it can be reviewed by staff. If it is a vulnerability it will be patched and you will be rewarded with HoF points (Hall of Fame).
