Is using tor allowed on the HTSIRC server?

No.. Neither proxies or tor are allowed. They'll be automatically banned, most likely.

Why is the use of tor or proxies prohibited? I noticed a link for tor under the >Get Informed>Usefull Stuff>Programs on the HTS website.

If this type of anonymitity is not allowed on HTSIRC, is there anything else I can do, to help remain anonymous while using IRC?

Because it makes bans easily evadable. You are already anonymous.. your host is cloaked, meaning no one can see your IP except staff members. Or, you could register your nick and get a vHost with /hs request vHost.here which will replace your normal host with that one.

Duhh! Sorry, I didn't even think of that issue. That would make a lot of sense. I dont get banned very often, so I didn't even think of how people might abuse that.

Heh, yep. ;)
You're already anonymous though.. no need to use a proxy.

This thread is old. Let it die. And if you need to get around an IRC block, either VPN or SSH tunnel to your home.
Assume that everything I say is or could be a lie.
