Admin File?

Sorry, best place I could find for this. Please move it if it's in the wrong forum.

Anyways, my question:
If I'm on a computer on a network, could I find the file that let's an Admin look at what I'm doing/control my computer/block stuff through task manager or something like that and edit and/or delete it? Or would it most likely be hidden? And if it was hidden, how could I go about finding it?

It entirely depends on how they are monitoring you, it also depends on who it is as far as the legality
did you buy your computer (with your own money) and have an overprotective parent? well in that case its kinda legal (however you are using their internet, so anything with that, and not on your computer is legal for them to look at)

or are you trying to get around stuff on a school or work network? in which case even if its not illegal the penalties set by the facility are usually pretty strict

it depends on who they are, what they want to monitor, what the best way of doing that would be, and how knowledgable they are (a parent for example is most likely going to be a lot less knowledgable than say a school system admin)
they could be using anything from a key logger to monitoring the network

we would need more information on the system to both better help you and determine the legality
