I need your help please if possible.

I want to know how to get the parent directory strucute of a website.

Just say for example the website url is http://website.com now in the parent folder of this site there are folders like for example pics, scripts, etc... now how do i get to the index to display these folders?

I sometimes get an error saying that you are restricted to view this directory, is there a way to bypass this?
