I think the Illuminati exist.
I think they are very much alive and active.
I think they're ruthless.

I must agree that Illuminati exists.
They are alive but NOT that active.
And believe me, in today's world, the Illuminati now is only a shadow of what they used to be.
They don't have enough influence or whatsoever in the present era.

Dramatically putting it that 'they use ruthless means to eliminate that little speck messing up the window of publicity'.
If you're talking about the Illuminati of the 1700's, then maybe, I'd agree.
But if you're talking about the current Illuminati, I'll repeat what I said above, they're now just a shadow of what they used to be.

What can i say i never met one Everyone here seems like they know them or have killed them all do exists, doesn't exist.
All i know about Illuminati is from the book "Angels and Demons" but that's a book, and nothing should be accepted as fact.
Anyway I like the idea that they do exist

I think debating their existence and delving down that rabbit hole is a waste of time. I view the illuminati as a great tool to sidetrack serious debate, and to derail realistic projects. I have seen it first hand. What will proving their existence do? Will we all suddenly revolt our shadowy overlords? Is that the point? Hmm.

I think the illuminati exist... and santa, and the easter bunny. Everyone says they don't but that's just because they're brainwashed. I have proof, how else could the presents get under the tree?

"The Illuminati" ultimately exists as a social construct, not as a cohesive organization of individuals with a master plan. I first heard about the Illuminati many years ago at University in my "Ethics in American History Class" so unlike many of you, "Angels & Demons" wasn't my first encounter. In general, in present speak it should be used a reference to the "Nameless People" who are in powerful positions both in Governments and in other organizations (The Catholic Church, WTO, NATO, U.N.) These people are colleagues, aides, benefactors and lobbyists to those who hold the public seats. Those who you might call "Illuminati" would not themselves, consider themselves to be "Illuminati". It is just a good term for usage, but I prefer the term used above.. "Shadow Masters"... sounds really cool

The Illuminati were a C17th breakoff from the Freemasons - I can't remember the name of the guy, but he was basically a Freemason, and fancied himself as a bit of an intellectual. He looked for clever people who were arrogant enough to believe that they deserved to rule the world. They weren't Freemasons themselves - They were thrown out eventually, and then they just set about "planning" their world domination.

They currently don't "exist" (at least not as a powerful organisation), and if there ever are any self-proclaimed Illuminati, they're just saying it for attention really.

If you're wondering where I got this information, I've been told this by my Uncle who's a Freemason If you want more information about, ask me, and I can ask my Uncle about it and get back to you when I find out.
