Password bypass when SQL injection wont work and it is not..

How do i get passed a password when SQL injection wont work and it is not in the Html source. I'm not the best, but I've got a lot down. It's just that was working on accessing this page's update section, and i finally found it after about 20 minutes. Then there is a box with the pre-written stuff and you can add or subtract what you want. My problem is, to make any change so people can see it on the page, you need to enter in a password. It's bugged me all week so if anyone has ideas on what i could do please comment back.
