Security problems and technology

Hello people. Instead of asking for help in a mission, I want to ask something a bit philosophical. I noticed one of the random quotes up on my screen, which says

"If you think technology can solve your security problems, then you don't understand the problems and you don't understand the technology." -Bruce Schneier

so i am just wondering what technology can solve then? there will always be bad hackers out there, but we can minimize that. we can't stop trying can we? who knows what technology will be able to do in the future, look at where we are now and how much progress we've made. as the interet of things or internet of everything is developing and becoming more involved with our world, things are getting more complicated and complex, but i am hopeful that it wont be as bad as we might think. i intend to help make tech easy to use, and secure. i hope im not making myself look like an idiot, but i sort of disagree with the quote. im trying to be optimistic, but also realistic too yes. realistically, technology is what solves our security problems is it not? at least to some extent. its just sad that it also creates security problems, but as i said, we shouldn't give up hope, we should try to make systems and devices as secure as we can and keep them updated. i believe if we work together, the sky is the limit
