i personally don't think there is a god and if there is he is pretty selfish, "you shall have no god before me" wow. and the virgin birth..yeah OK more then likely didn't happen, she was probably messing around with some dude and didn't want everyone to know so she made some crap up. As for Jesus, many Egyptian gods 1000 years before him meet the same criteria like Horus for example, son of the god Osiris, born of a virgin, baptized in a river, his baptist was later beheaded, healed the sick, the blind, cast out demons, and walked on water, raised Asar form the dead, oh and he had 12 deciles. He was also crucified, 3 days later two women announced he had risen from the dead. There are some others don't worry, Krishna from India 1000 before Jesus, he was a carpenter, born of a virgin, baptized in a river. Mithra born December 25th, performed miracles, resurrected on the third day, known as the lamb, the way, the savior, the messiah.

that looks like enough for now, sorry i kept going on but you get the idea.
if you believe in god, go ahead all I'm saying is id don't.
and most of the info i got came from a documentary called religulous.

i think religion is more about how you live your life
the code for the void exception between the ear brackets
Code: Select all
public static }void(exception x = new exception(null)){

ok my brackets dont realy look like ears.
if you didnt get that it means there is nothing(no brains) between your ears.

A question. How the does any of this have to do with God/A god? What you say about History is true, but all that has anything to do with is Jesus. One could argue the existence of Jesus and a God do not have to coincide. That's looking at a supernatural being through the eyes of one book that I don't particularly care for. This thread should be called "Things I saw on a movie then got them confused with something entirely different."

Denying the existence of God or proving the existence of God is rather a pointless debate all together especially when you source things from a Bill Maher film.

Only when it comes to certain things can I respect you as a God. ;) It should be nice to know though that you're that revered even among one thing.

Your arguments only raise questions about the Christian God. Even though I am a Christian, I'm rather tired of people going around assuming that any debate about religion has to center on Christianity.

So you've managed to convince yourself that Jesus was not Holy, and that thus Christianity is all fake. What about Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, or Hinduism, just to name some of the biggest religions of the modern world. Your argument says nothing about them, and yet you dismiss them out of hand simply because you "disproved" Christianity.

What about the possibility that no current religion has "got it right", and that there is an ultimate creator, but humanity has yet to speculate correctly on the nature of that creator?

You seem to be jumping to conclusions on the question of whether or not there is a god, simply because you don't think there is a God.
