Grump .... stuck ... whine

900 billion dollars were spent on guns this year! Now rumours are spreading that seculas Ltd. is developing an awful laser aided weapon, and that they already have patents pending. Please try to find out what their latest patents are about.

Grump .... stuck ... whine

Grr ... silly mission.

Well with a little screwing around and over-examining of every page, I found a nice folder / zip to work with.
I even have plaintext of an item of this same zip. But I can't get any cracker to decode my dashed zip file password.

I then stumbled on a tut on the main site, and discovered (none too shockingly) that I need to compress it to the same size.
I've tried with every program / compression method / encryption method I can find, and it still won't crack.

Would anyone, possibly, be willing to give me a helping hand? This is just getting frustrating now ^^

If you plan on just stating the zip parameters (and I'm not saying don't ;-) ) then PM it.
That or just something to limit the "keyspace" for me.

Aye, I knew that.

Point is, I can't get the plaintext to compress to exactly match the cyphertext.
So it doesn't really matter which plaintext cracker I use, it won't crack it.

It lies.

It claims Win*** 2.65 "N****** Compression" will do it if you try all the encryption methods. And I must say, it didn't ^^

Or maybe I just need to retry them all again.
Or maybe get the command line version so I can do it more easily.

The default compression method worked for me.

I'm stuck a few steps further. I'm trying to read a certain person's messages. I think I know how to fool the authorization script. I think I know how to pass values, but it doesn't seem to work. When I call the script directly with a certain parameter set to a wrong value, to evoke a certain error message to get some feedback, I do not get it. When I call the script indirectly, I do get the error message. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

I copied the authorization script to a server of my own and added some debug information. There it worked just as expected. Any idea why it doesn't here?

I have the same problem, all i get is a blank page after clicking the read messages button. Im sure i have the right username: password combination (not very hard when there is only one on the entire site :D ) but its not getting me anywhere, i even turned to the article to see if/where i was going wrong, which only served to confirm what i had already worked out.

I would be happy to PM someone with what i am using.

I too am curious as to what this means? I sincerely hope you are not implying that you are going to freely give out solutions to the missions!

Are you sure you are posting about this particular mission? This is realistic 15, and to my knowledge there is no robots.txt, though i could be wrong...
