hash problems

ok so here is the problem i have done everything correctly but when the hash displays it looks like this

admin::dsafhdasjfhkjdsahfa....dsafjdskjf

it has those dots in the middle obstructing parts of the hash that i need how do i fix this???

nothing is missing....that is how the hash is supposed to look like. Just crack it.

alright thanks it ended up being that i had just miss formatted the hash in the file jtr was working on...

Use John The Ripper (or Cain and Able) to crack the hash code :D

Are you shure this hash can be cracked by Cain and Abel? The original format of this hash can not be imported; I searched the web for a while and didn't find a way to convert the hash to an acceptable format. Finally I cracked it with PasswordsPro.

Hey everyone. I have the hash and I'm trying to crack it as we speak. I am mostly using trial and error, so naturally, I have a question - how can one tell what type of encryption was used to create a hash? Is there a logical way through which you can assume that something is more likely to be, for example, MD5 than MD4?

yeah, its hard to get. my best so far finding the hash was probably the imageshow one but it still says i dont have permission when i went ../.htpasswd
