ok
i feel shame on myself 'cuase i cheated the last mission in basic missions section.
but i dont want to repeat that again i want to solve it by my own.
i know it's dealing with php get method and i had some few lessons on that
i think im a bit closer to the solution.
guys read about the 'php get' method and learn about where data goes to..

I've tried a couple of method i.e. altering the URL as well as altering the vote value via Firebug. Unfortunately in each case I get a require_auth message rather than a completion of the mission. I would appreciate any help/hints to get around this. Thanks in advance.

Try relogging in and then do the mission.

I am new to everything here. In the space of just a few days I have learned SO much by simply doing these missions and reading up on w3schools. I refuse to ask for help until I've read everything I can and applied the new info and gave several good tries from as many different angles as I can think of.

I was baffled by how huge this thread is. After completing this mission just now I came to see if any alternatives would work and found some astoundingly close-to-the-mark hints that really should have given it away for everyone.

Keep trying guys! Read up on your basic skills. If you want to become great don't be satisfied with figuring out the answer, MASTER that answer and understand it. Ha ... that's my only hint.

My question now is : Will someone help me learn further by PMing me alternative ways to beat this challenge? I'd like to cross-reference my ideas.

Thanks in advance

May I ask why the javascript injection with all the variable set does not work?
I had to solve via HTML but I did not like it

If you're using FF, try again with another browser as it doesn't support jsi anymore. I'd suggest using Chrome anyways ;)

You can also try to use the JS console (which is CTRL+SHIFT+J for FF I think)

Firebug for Firefox, built-in editors for several other browsers, JavaScript console for some of them, and of course JavaScript injection if you avoid using FF.
There are several other ways as well, but most of them are far beyond the scope ;)

afaik this chall is basically the same as bas5.
make sure you're modifying the correct stuff and you give correct data. Your goal is to vote so that Raging Inferno gets the best average rating of all.

How do I know if I passed it? I did stuff I can't say and it brought me to a button that says, "go on."
does this mean I successfully completed the challenge? I just want to make sure before I keep going.

You got it. I searched your profile and it shows you were given points.
