Calm the fuck down. Seriously. The caps lock is not necessary, but some punctuation and Ritalin might be.
Assume that everything I say is or could be a lie.

Rationality and logic won't work in this instance Goatboy - You're dealing with someone who has no argument other than 'It's right because I said so' - no amount of Ritalin can make that go away... A copy of Origin of the Species might though.

No book will work. You had it right the first time.

This tends to be true on a tragically high percentage of the kind of people we're talking about, but, I always feel bad if I don't point them in the right direction.

in my opinion...
ethics have arisen from a collection of social constructs that enable us, and civilisations before us to exist, rather than destroy ourselves entirely, purely for stability.
and because of evolution, and through nurture rather than nature, we inherit ethical views through our exposure to our environment,
some could say ethics are unnatural and are imposed on us by external influences, and that man is essentially a primal beast, with higher order thinking capacity.
Man is a continual struggle between the primal desires and natural drives of our ancestral DNA, and our civilised ideals of ethics, culture, and our outlook on the world.
Thoughts?
