Compromise:
a middle way between two extremes

Leaning further towards one extreme is not a compromise in my mind.

Right and wrong is not set in stone and it is up to the individual to decide for themselves. The individual should not change their ethics to suit anyone else unless they truly believe that they were wrong. People should have an open mind but not prostitute their morals/ethics.
