Gus hacking is a great power but we should use it properly so Must discuss about the were we should hack and were not so post ur sugestions

Are you suggesting there are instances that one should "illegally" hack a website if its justified? Because if so I do understand the reasoning behind it but I must warn you that type of hacking is kind of a forbidden topic around here.

its simple, hacking anything is ok as long as it doesnt hurt anyone. ex: getting into places you normaly have to pay for is ok as long as you arnt stealing someone elses account. thats how i see it.

But you're stealing from the people you have to pay to get in.

My view is, if you have someone's permission, it's ok.

This is a very sticky topic, I'm a white/grey hat...

I know I know, I wrote the whole article about the white/grey/red/black hat thing, BUT

I do believe this is the easiest way to explain it and avoid confusion at the same time... I'm an ethical hacker by day, which means anything I don't have permission for is out of the question...

Other than that, when I'm not at work I have 2 rules and 2 rules only:

1. Never hack for personal gain
2. Never hack when not in control of emotions

That's it, that's the rules I live by.

it makes sense, especially the 2nd one............... thats a must (for both safety, and legality.......)

me, personally, if the cause meets the need to do it, im all for it, otherwise you're just making it harder for the next who needs

I agree, only hack with someone's permission. Even hacking without personal gain and without permission is in my book still "breaking and entering".

However as uncle Ben once said "with great power, comes great responsibility", it is our duty as security experts to notify the general public for security threats. So how can we test the security without hacking systems. And we definitely do not have the resources to set up our own testing systems.

It is a difficult dilemma and the line between being a "Hero" and a "Criminal" is a fine line.
