The whole shit happens all the time. In fact, the best use of mass media is made in wars for propaganda. Psychology, a many of you already know is a very easy thing to control and when controlled, can drive people to do things they would never ever do in their normal state(i.e. when they are not influenced). Take the 2 World Wars for example. Hitler, in his Mein Kampf, enlists wrong propaganda as one of the major causes of Germany's loss in WW1. According to him, the Germans were wrongly influenced i.e. the image of the English in their heads was wrong and that was a major cause of the defeat. I probably can't state it properly here.
