My name is Jake, alias KhanzanicDecay, and I have a request.

For all of us in the USA and Canada, I ask that you take a look at your countries Pirate Party Movement, links can be found at the bottom of this post.

Over the past few years, BOTH of our governments have been slowly taking away our right to privacy, as well as ignoring our freedom of information. In Canada, we have Bill C-61(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47RRzSSbD9g) which would essentially make it illegal for you to back up CDs or Copy them to your MP3 Player/iPod!

In the US of A, there is already DRM, as well as talk of joining ACTA(Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) which would make it legal for law enforcement to go through your ISP records and electronic devices WITHOUT warrant or Probable cause.

Yep our great "Free" nation is just making sure no one is hurting us by collecting all our personal information because they love us so much. -- Seriously, they're basically trying to say that in as many words as possible so people ignore the severity of it.

Yea, European companies/nations are also trying to get in on some of the cash that the North American ones have already been stealing.

Which is why the information movement, starting with the Pirate Parties, is so important. The only way we can circumvent this atrocity is with global support, showing the corporations that we won't stand for this, and showing our governments that we wont stand for a corrupt system. Ireland has a PP, as do many other countries across the globe
