So..
What we can conclude with is that harddrives fail now and then and there is nothing we really can do about it?
I run my PC for 6-8 hours each day, I bought two harddrives of the same kind, my OS drive failed after 2-3 months, got a new one, and have been running my computer on and off each day for 6-8 hours since then (about 1 year now).
So as long as you don't keep it running 24/7, there is no real way to estimate how long it actually will run before it will die/fail other than the x-amount of hours the producer have listed?
Or do they test the drives for 24/7 periods?
