VPR summoned it up - mechanical switches are pretty much just far superior. Instead of having to be pushed down all the way, they only have to be pushed half way, make an audible click (so you know you pressed it + it feels amazing), and rise back up extremely quickly.
Basically, they're just way higher quality. I would write a lot more, but this post pretty much sums up
everythingyou need to know about a mechanical keyboard.
I can max my typing out at 145 WPM now too!
