i started using chrome as soon as it became a thing! safari feels ancient to me, and don't even get me started on firefucks lol  sure firebug is a neat little tool, but i find "inspect element" to be more accessible and thorough (i.e. i was reading an article couple of weeks ago and wanted to know what type of trees were shown in the title picture...i looked at the source using firebug, but got nothing. using inspect element i was able to find the credits to the pic which gave me what i was looking for--they were fir trees)...not to mention firefucks crashes my laptop if i use it for more than an hour or so...but it seems that *most* "computer people" swear by firefox like mshred...

peace and blessings

Firefox with the following addons:

  • AdBlock Plus
  • AdBlock Plus Element Hider
  • BetterPrivacy
  • FireBug
  • FlashBlock
  • Ghostery
  • GreaseMonkey
  • RainBow Color Picker
  • TamperData
  • User Agent Switcher

I'm quite Paranoid, so I prefer a browser that doesn't send all of my data to Google (If you think that's not true, you haven't read the EULA).

As for the engines that FireFox/Chrome use:
WebKit > Gecko
But
FireFox > Google Chrome

Since I hate GC, and FireFox is slow, I'm working on my own WebKit based browser in python. If anyone is interested, I can post the source here.

http://pastebin.com/PZhkV19V You'll need python and PyQt4.

As for firefox being slow:

HOLY F***ING SHIT THAT'S FAST!!! (By this, I mean I can run it on a PC with 512 Megabytes of RAM with no noticeable lag.)

Probably just some memleak bugfix or something, but still, for me at least, it's a lot better. YMMV.
