Hi
i just started a website
i just wanted to know if you can try to get in the admin panel to see if the security is good enough to move my website to a premium domain.
to show that website is mine : i 've put a comment on the top of page 1 :

Other mods, feel free to weigh in on this, but I don't think we should be attacking free-hosting sub-domain sites because of the simple fact that they are not actually owned by the user. This could potentially lead to legal trouble on our end. For now I am going to allow this, but I would like to hear the input of other mods.

I think it's alright. We're not doing any damage, and the a user asked if we could check for security vulnerabilities. Most people probably don't own the servers they ask people here to take a poke at as it is.

In the rare event that something does come up, we have the user asking us, and all our "no illegal activities" policy is pretty well-plastered throughout the website.

What about the cPanel area, though? Do we touch that? I, mean, it's technically still part of his website. Not saying it's vulnerable. Just wanted to know where the site stands on pen-testing 3rd party software being used by the site owner or the hosting service.

Well, what do you expect? Just because you ask doesn't mean people are going to comply. Also, it doesn't mean someone here did it; someone could have been browsing the forum unregistered and done it.
