I have no trouble with HTML and I have no trouble with js or php or jquery. I just really cannot grasp CSS. Is there a better resource for this than W3C? Can you give me any advice?? I'm gonna lose it if I don't learn to make pages like this: http://cssmenumaker.com/. Please help.

There is not really that much to css once you get the basics. If you want to do something specific, just google that shiz.

Pretty much. I'm working on a website too. Mostly focussing on javascript. Not that experienced with anything relating to web dev but stack overflow is showing me the ropes, The only problem with (dare i call it) non centralized learning is that you often miss out on accpeted industry best practices. I didn't even know about version control until like a year ago. Now every project i spend more than 2 hours on has a .git file in the directory. gimme a yell if you want to compare notes

Dude I know nothing about version control. I've written massive amounts of production code without ever using it. Please explain lol.

if multiple people contribute to your project. , you really need to use source code version control stuff, in my opinion :p
I reckon the most expensive part f development would be the coding. ypou don't want to overwrite stuff that you spen hours puting together. so yeah keep a history of it. yeah I'mdrunk

HTML is the flour. JS is the sugar. PHP is the egg. CSS is the frosting on top.

Honestly if you want to make a good website, and learn CSS the right way. Start with bootstrap. (http://getbootstrap.com/css/)

I started using bootstrap, which was developed by twitter, and haven't spent more than a minute at any given time tweaking my CSS. Add in JQuery or Alloy for the JS, and just build to the API's. Your website will practically design itself.
