File recovery (CD)

([msg=72608]see File recovery (CD)[/msg])

I've been digging around for a little while now on this and haven't had any luck yet. Curious as to if any of you might have run into this problem before. The rundown:

CD contains .doc and .ppt files.
Files were hidden in folder that was not hidden on WinXP machine.
Files could off be read off cd on same machine used for the burn.
Do not know program/method used for the burn.
CD shows space used but not the files on it.

Taking suggestions for file recovery methods. Thanks

Hmmm. Well if your using a windows os to try and view the files you could try command prompt. Just go to the directory. Say its D:\ just type:

Code: Select all
D:

after that try to list the files and see if you can see anyting:

Code: Select all
dir

If you still can't view them you could try:

Code: Select all
attrib -r -a -s -h *.*
