Regarding the Cisco knockoff's that were/are circulating.

Hey all,

With the Cisco kit that is a cheap knock off that's going around, was there anything malicious with the software (packet-capture running, etc) that was done to these? Or was it just to make money off of the brand that is Cisco? As I've found that it was WIC cards, but haven't found it was full PCB that went into the IDS/ASA devices as well.

Reason I am asking this, is this is a perfect way to a nefarious vendor could watch all your data without your consent, and of course other devious uses come to mind.

My google-fu has failed, I hope others know of this.
