Yeah, go get the 'aircrack-ng suite'
Read the manual, and you are good to go.

[Edit] If you are going to be cracking wpa/wpa2, look into getting a bigger dictionary for bruteforcing.

I have been reading some threads, and it seems like maybe aircrack-ng is a bit hard to install on the mac. If you run into issues, I am not a mac guy so I wouldn't be able to help, but I could point you to another tool if needed.

Are you asking for John the Ripper for mac or something that does the same thing; or are you talking about just hacking tools in general for the mac? I was a bit confused about your post...
