I have yet to experience the ddosings.. Which is probably a good thing. I tend to get upset if something bad is going down with HTS.

That's a good thing, I hated sitting there waiting for a page to load. When it comes to computers I have literally no patience at all. I almost punch my screen when websites start having 20 second load times, then stop loading. Fucking dos attacks, why would you do them anyways?

It's a bitch. We had the last couple ones narrowed down to a suspect but I'm not sure if Weekend ever sunk in the for sure or not. mShred there might be something still in the mod forum about it. But I might have erased it by now. Have to recheck.

The problem HTS has there is if the mods tell you who they think the target it is and 20+ people hack the said target, it could be seen that HTS told those 20+ people to hack/attack and therefore get in a lot of trouble with the men in suits.

^ exactly. Those types of things are the reasons we have privacy policies in place. Regardless of if he/she's attacking or not. Things like that only go public on special occasions..

Also note that HTS is doing random server stuff in the background which may lead to slow load times. We're slowly moving the database and site to the new datacenter and taking unscheduled db dumps tends to slow stuff down a lot(who knows how long it'll take, it requires testing to make sure things work + some improvements etc, I've been waiting for quite some time for this to be done... I miss moo ). This server is also getting old.. it needs to die before more stuff breaks. The new server should be way more capable of handling whatever people throw at it(although I'm not all that happy about the datacenter so far, things should be fixed there now) and hopefully more stuff on hts.. that is when folks make more stuff ^^

And a ddos is hard to prove so I'm not really willing to share an opinion on that, but the suspect who is on my radar for causing other troubles will be reported to the proper places for those things. I really dislike anything that involves reporting anyone to an anything but after much consideration it'll be done to keep HTS a pleasant place.
Maybe after repeated complaints to the proper places fail I'll accidentally leak his details(but there isn't much to do with those, he's not running anything vuln as far as I can tell)
