Authentication Hash Invalidated

Post by r4gsy on Sun Sep 23, 2012 5:09 am
([msg=69549]see Authentication Hash Invalidated[/msg])

I am running a fully updated version of Firefox, have installed CCleaner and cleaned all cookies, cache, saved passwords, etc. but still get the following error:

Please <a href="http://www.hackthissite.org/?logout">clear your hashes</a> and relogin.

Any other fixes? I have also tried restarting the browser, using a different browser (Chrome), and following the instructions (aka going to the /?logout webpage). Frustrated.

Hmm, this is weird as I have never gotten that error message.

Maybe edit your preferences in firefox to where your browser never stores data?

I had this when I logged in when not using SSL and then clicked on the link to browse in SSL.

Try logging out and making sure your on the HTTPS version first then log in?

When I got to hts I usually just type "https://www.hackthissite.org" this way as soon as you go on you're already in with ssl. Also as a side benefit it gets ride of those scroll over ads. Sometimes though when traversing the site it seems to come off though so you should keep an eye on it.

Thanks for the swift replies - browsing in SSL/using https worked for me.
