Now, though that was a nice contribution, it's a little straight forward. Pirating books is illegal. If we all really wanted that book, I'm sure we could all find it on Google.. Along with too many other PDF's that are publicly available on the interwebz. Which is ironic, because I have that PDF in my stash somewhere.

Yeah K&R essentially is the title. It's a book on C programming.
OP, you would have been distributing a pirated copy, which can be considered pirating. Which is considered illegal. No hard feelings for you though, just followin the rules.
