This is a bit old, but just now seeing it. :(

From Twitter

CHANGELOG

So I went and looked at Redmine. There is nothing listed... Being we either don't have, and/or confident members who want to stick their necks out to be a full dev, could we start seeing smaller snippets of what needs to be worked on so individuals who have some experience in a specific area can see how they can contribute? At the VERY LEAST it will give us an idea what is actually going on and we can research and learn during the recoding process. -- Or just give the front page a facelift, drop the recode (for now), and focus on pushing out the latest technology updates to the users. New developing techniques, security flaws, cool shit, etc. Moar content for users to digest. Encourage user submitted challenges. Simplify who the staff is (there are 32 people with staff rank according to the forum member search, uh what?) Simple changes can go a long way if presented properly leading to the attraction of new traffic, talent, ideas.

Its just been too long now everyone has been waiting on this recode and dammit we lurve this place and want some milk with our cookies!

I agree with this 110%. HTS members seem to have a definite tendency to... come and go. I am definitely guilty of this myself. Since we didn't have official full time developers in the first place, I think it would be at least beneficial to try and make it so who ever is able to contribute something can. There would need to be a way to organize it to avoid utter chaos though...

To be honest, I don't know anything at all concerning the recode other than the fact that it has apparently been worked on. I don't know when or what has been done. I know there is somewhere that I could check this information, but nobody really ever openly discusses it.

All great ideas - I'm pretty confident that the main reason that people get bored and move on from HTS is... nothing happens. Like, at all. Unless you're like me and you like to troll the forums, after a time you just run out of content. The challenges are there, but it's the same few challenges, and once you've beaten those then there is nothing left but the forums to engage the user.

One of these days there's gonna be a real profound quote down here.

You are a bit late to the party: it was discussed several times before.

I know, I've been around since 2005. The past couple of times it was seriously discussed it was derailed and turned into nothing but insults. Thus reason why I am bringing it up again. I (and many others) would like to know whats going on.
