I might do this with my IP address. I just use the & in the command running the script with runs it in the background. Its so cool. It changes the MAC address automatically every 7 hours.

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash

#automatically changes mac address every 7 hours

#automatically runs script in background, which isn't happening

while true :
do

  sleep 25200
  macchanger -r wlan0
  macchanger -r wlan1
  macchanger -r eth0
  macchanger -r eth1
  macchanger -r lo

done

exit 0

I am gonna do that with IPs as well. Does anyone have a problem with my script?

Nice first try!

Some suggestions:
1. Determine the interfaces manually. I run arch and systemd doesn't use eth/wlan.
2. Do the change manually using ifconfig.
3. Have it install itself as a cron job instead of an infinite loop w/ sleep.
