New users - challenge within Work

Hey all,

Not sure where to put this post really and this is aimed at the admins of the site.

I am tech lead for a cloud computing business and want to get my team involved with this site (about 7 people) .

I would like them all to sign up and start t learn new things on the side of the challenges but wanted to know if this was an acceptable use of the website ?

I used to be an active member of the site , but have only just re-signed back up to 'refresh' my skills.

My specialism would be to do with SQL server databases and SQL server injection , but dont seem to see many challenges for this type of thing . I would like to propose maybe i can set up some challenges for the SQL server side of things (xp_cmdshell , injection , service abuse etc) , how would i go about submitting these , or even hosting them from a live VM for people to use and work out?

Also , as we are logging in a lot of the time from the same IP address , would me or the team have any issues?

Thanks for reading

That's what we're here for.

Submitting challenges can be done by either PMing a mod or by hopping on IRC. But I'd suggest the former. As for hosting your own VM, that is almost assuredly a bad idea. Unless you have really tight security.

As for logging with the same IP, no problem. Authentication is handle by sessions, not by IP.
Assume that everything I say is or could be a lie.

There is also a section on this forum. If you host the challenges elsewhere, you can always set it up and link it up.
It can be located at: Missions -> User Submitted (link)

and here is an example of a linked challenge (hosted off hts servers): viewtopic.php?f=157&t=10134
