Ah I see. In that case, you'll have to install XAMP on the drive. Make sure you keep all of the associated files inside that HD (config, index, etc). And from there you should be good.

I highly suggest just using Plex Media Server. It's awesome and does exactly what you need.

You're doing it wrong. Intranet/Internet > Sneakernet for this.
