It's been ages. I had one that was good but i can't remember.
found thishttp://www.csie.ntu.edu.tw/~r92092/ref/win32/win32scripting.html looks kinda ok. At least offers examples of basic syntax.

Here is a pretty good source with some tutorials and all the commands. Also good for linux commands.

One good one is http://ss64.com/

Under CMD, it has most of the standard windows command prompt commands as well as several pages on the syntax of writing batch files. It even explains how to have improvised functions and all that.

It also has several references for other things/languages.

I love batch and bash, shell coding.. vb scripting too.. I use it all the time, everyday from work to play... I consider myself pro.. your note about lack of good tutorials and examples makes me think about actually putting some together with an eye on practical usage. There was a page I used to have bookmarked that was pretty beast, sadly, I can't seem to find it.. I think my bookmarks wiped somewhere within the last 10 or 20 firefox updates.
