I have three laptops, each with their own purpose.
My personal favorite is my Lenovo Thinkpad T61. It has a 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (Penryn) with 6MB L2 cache, 3 gigs of PC2-5300 clocked at 667MHz, and a 5400RPM drive with integrated AES128. I use this one for work and school, because it's decently portable and has very adaptive power management.
I also have an HP dv9000t with an Intel Core 2 Duo at 2.0 GHz, nVidia GeForce 7600 Go, and also 3 gigs of PC2-5300 at 667MHz. I use this one primarily for gaming and other entertainment, as it has a huge screen as far as laptops are concerned, and a decent graphics card.
My final laptop is an IBM Thinkpad A31. I use it primarily for wardriving. It has a 2 GHz Pentium 4, 256 or 512MB of PC2300. I have a Ubiquiti SRC a/b/g wireless card in it with a decent rubber ducky antenna affixed to the monitor.
The first two laptops run Vista, the thinkpad 32-bit and the HP 64-bit. My final laptop runs Ubuntu Hardy Heron.
