Backtrack 4 from Sun Virtual Box and airmon-ng

I'm running backtack 4 from my sun virtual box and it runs fine. the only thing is that in the terminal when i run airmon-ng i have nothing under interface, chipset, or driver. i have searched and searched and cant seem to see why this is.
