A
GUI is a common acronym for
Graphical
User
Interface. You should probably do some studying about that on Wikipedia, Google, or whatever resources are available to you. If you have intentions of staying a member of any community built around computer science, it's going to come up in the future. So, absorb all you can.
Based on that question though, I'm going to give you my honest opinion, and I don't think you're ready to use Linux yet, at least not Fedora. If you are adamant about wanting to break into the Linux realm though, I would recommend you try Ubuntu instead. It will give you the feel for Linux, at the same time as being structured toward introductory needs. Though, sticking with an operating system you know sounds like the best bet right now. Study more about computers, and that will change rapidly. Good luck.
