No, they still havn't fixed all the bugs in windows 3.11 for workstations -_-

there are more bugs and security vulnerabilities in XP SP2 than in Vista

Is Vista any more secure? Does Windows defender actually work? Any horror stories?

I haven't managed to get it to share files with an XP box sofar..

Vista also decided it could connect to 7 networks at the same time over wireless on my laptop, yet refused to grant me internet access after doing so.

Skills - you could have mad hops walking through a neighborhood multi-tasking from wifi connection to wifi connection. Pwn the net in seconds.

From what I see, when I tried to run old software on vista, It's normally missing the DLLs...

I mean when I tried installing shadow warrior, I was missing Setup.dll...

wtf.. how do you not have Setup.dll ?!?! it sounds so basic already.

second, vista is so great, it doesn't need Pinball... >.>

I really need to get a CD soon, and burn my own linux distro CD.

Using vista on a friends laptop to connect to my network the other day was just a pain in the neck. Perhaps I'm just thick (quite a strong possibility) but it took me almost ten minutes just to set the IP I wanted for the wired LAN, all it wanted to do was play with wireless networks.
And after that it took a wee bit of playing to get file sharing to work with my XP box.
Then again, I never had much love for Vista. When it first came out I chose Xp pro over it, and a mate chose Vista. My box has given me no grief at all, while Vista has only recently become reliably useful for him. But maybe it's just us ;)

I have Xp Pro on one of my sata hdd's and Vista Ultimate on one of my IDE's. XP is by many orders of magnitude more idiot friendly. Vista is a poorly organized mashed up mess when it comes to networking. Serioulsy, it sucks fucking balls. That said, it you are not networking, (I have 5 PC's in my home all on WIFI, 3xp, 2 vista) then it stops sucking complete balls, and begins to function well.
