Router brute force with cain and able?

i just want to test my password strength of my own router.
somebody told me that we can Brute force router's Administrator (USR9110 wireless router)password using Cain and able.But i don't see any option in it to do that.help?

Well I haven't used Cain in quite some time now so I can't help you there, but you could always try John The Ripper or Brutus.

Which password? The WIFI pass? Like WEP/WPA etc...

I would guess Administrator. I would use something like Brutus or Hydra (or any other brute-force tool) along with a possible dictionary attack against the router's web interface.

Yup, must've misread that. You basically know your admin password is good enough against brute forcing if it's 10+ characters that include numbers and symbols.

I have already tried brutus,bruter and cain and able.none of them didn't work.i am pretty sure the settings are correct.but none worked.maybe something went wrong hmm.. .but i can guarantee i did exactly as in the tutorial for brutus and brutur.and will try john the ripper

try using this with target set to router ip or local host perhaps, can do a dictionary attack or a pure brute force in the order you dictate and can include special characters
