changing mac adress on wireless

I'm working on a school network, and our local anti-pirate-section recently found out that -someone- had taken down a few files through torrents on the network and want's to investigate the matter. They probably have a logfile with -someone's- mac-adress in it, and now our admin is threatening to block every lap with a non-obivous computername. I'm afraid that if -someone- changes their computername they'll be able to identify him by comparing the mac to the log. Anyways, i tried to spoof my mac with "mac makeup" but it only seems to be able to change the base mac, not the wireless. I tried to manually do it, but couldn't figure a way that worked. The getmac cmd gives me both macs, i have a atheros wireless card and can't figure how to change the mac. Any help would be muchos apreciated.

I'm running on Windows btw. I do have a dual-boot for ubuntu, would it affect my windows if i changed it through my ubuntu? It's installed as the "inside windows" or whatever option. I really need to study those linux systems.

right click your wifi connection, go to properties, click configure and go to the Advanced tab. in the list, there's an option to set a MAC, it might be something like 'Network Address' or what mine says. just type in a valid MAC.

Mischief, i tried to do that (though in a different way, the properties option isn't avaible the same way in vista), i went to my hardware config for my card and tried to change the MAC to another valid MAC, scanned and getmacc'ed, no difference. okay, i was too quick about your link, just saw "linux" and went on. I'll try it, thanks for the help!
