Apache and PHP, need help... BAD

Alright, I'm trying to set up a home network with Apache and PHP. So far, I have Apache HTTP server 2.2.11 and PHP 5.2.8. Can anyone tell me how to get PHP enabled on Apache?

I think that I'm supposed to edit the httpd.conf in the Apache folder, but I don't know what to put where. Please be very specific because I'm a bit of a noob,

Which did you install first? Every time I installed apache and then PHP the PHP worked immediately.

You didn't tell us your OS.

Regardless of your OS, there are hundreds if not thousands of good step-by-step tutorials on how to do what you want. Do your homework...search the web.

Ok, I'll try reinstalling them in the order you said.

And, my OS is Windows XP. I did search it on google, but on the tutorials talked about adding code at the end of the "LoadModule" statement and after the directives, and I don't know what those are.
