Satelite Internet

What's the best way to setup a home network? Why should I care about BGP?

My satellite internet has a 10 gig cap. Speed is good. They give unlimited data between 12-5 a.m. my time. Any ideas?

Are you planning on asking a question?

I was trying to be broad. Not sure the exact rules here. I want to basically uncap myself. It seems like it could be 12-5am all the time when the internet cap is unlimited. I am new here and don't want any trouble. If this is an ok topic I will continue, please advise. I have experience with backtrack, networking, etc. Just saying I am not a total amateur and if you think this is a good idea and would like to help I would really appreciate it. If this is not an acceptable topic let me know and I will put on my white hat and would like to continue to be a part of the community.

Going to need more details. What router do you have and who is your ISP?

I was reading through some of your stuff, like telling a guy a while back its not a good idea to use his Atheros card to Wi-Fi hack. Agreed, Id only do my own network that way. Anyways, my idea might not be the greatest either, but I just want to pen test. :D Also see if its hard or easy. It seems like I could just tunnel or hide my way to a router that has a time zone in which I can use. Or I could make my packets look a lot smaller than they are until they get to another router. I don't know, you are the pro. Like I said I am just doing this as a pen test. Maybe we should PM. That's up to you.

OK so I totally decided I am not going to do this, however if we want to continue on how this could be done it may be interesting. However I will put in my 1 cent. Just saying I have no intensions of actually doing this, so if we are going to talk about it lets talk about a random cisco router and random exede modem.
