request - virus samples especially fbi moneypak

Hi

Doing some security software testing for a client and need to get hold of 10 or so nasty viruses, especially annoying common ones such as the fbi money pak (which I see on a lot of my clients, and isn't stopped by a lot of av software)

Can anyone help please - this is strictly for legitimate testing on a machine kept off network specifically to test various products for a report

I dont know of anywhere to get specific samples, other than the dark net and we are not supposed to post links to malware on the forumns anyways. I would just look up known attack sites and use them to collect the malware.

thanks for reply - yes been trying to find some known attack sites and have got some viruses collected, but just can't find the fbi moneypak or the metropolitan police ukash scareware one - someone did mention on this forum to PM him if you wanted it , but it won't let me contact him (probably as I am new)

I believe that you have to have at least 2-3 posts before you can use the PM system. Just remember to be careful though, you cant trust everyone on this site. Anyways, good luck.

Hi

I was infected with the fbi virus wednesday. I shut down and restarted in command prompt and did a system restore. No signs of the virus showed up again, however thursday my webroot quaranteed a virus, and i believe it was the fbi virus lurking.
I do not know how to send it, but you can pm me if you know a way.

Make sure if anyone is testing out viruses, they need to be ran in a VM for security.
^I've never heard of this virus specifically, but I'd actually be pretty interested in getting ahold of it. What all do you know about it? What makes you think you've got this specific virus?
