Cain & Abel - how to

I have a bunch of md5 hashes to decode and the brute forcing (only one I know) is been going on for hours with no results, is there any way to speed it up?

Try to use a rainbow table. Maybe someone has cracked the password before?
If possible, find out which length and which characters the passwords are made of.

If they allows symbols and very many (I don't believe on infinite..) characters it will be very hard for you.

Do you need all the passwords?
Or do you think it is enough with the small passwords?
If you will do fine with only a few passwords you can set the settings to only try with few characters.

If you need to crack many of them, first try to get the short passwords.
After that you have to use one or many rainbow tables. (Make sure you download the one for md5 hashes!)
I think a search on google for the md5 hash might help you with your search (if there is a certain hash you really want to crack.)

If you need them all:
Get a computer, and approximately 10^14 years of free time.
Then start to bruteforce them all.

Good luck!

its best with brute to first start with asuming the password char length is 1 then move to 2, 3, etc.
but after 4 chars other methods should be tried
the code for the void exception between the ear brackets
Code: Select all
public static }void(exception x = new exception(null)){

ok my brackets dont realy look like ears.
if you didnt get that it means there is nothing(no brains) between your ears.
