hi there,
I got stuck with the wifi problem in ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Even after switching wifi on, it says that wireless LAN is not detected. When I installed Ubuntu, wifi was working fine, but after I updated it, problem has started.
My laptop configuration is SONY VAIO E series, intel Core i3-370M Processor 2.40GHz, RAM 3 Gb. I guess this is enough information. Please Help me...
Thank you.

Hello there, sarang_chepe.

Type the following command into your terminal. What does it say?

Code: Select all
rfkill list

Edit: Also, shouldn't this be in Operating Systems > *nix?

You will be able to receive better support on the #ubuntu channel on freenode. It's their official support channel. HTS isn't the best for issues like this.
The glass is neither half-full nor half-empty; it's merely twice as big as it needs to be.
