Problems with wubi

I've tried to install Ubuntu 9.10 inside Windows,but it gives me the same error every time:
An error occured:
Permission denied

I know that there is nothing wrong with the CD because I have installed Ubuntu several times from it.

Try running it as Admin.

Just taking a random-ass shot in the dark here, but usually things like "DOCUME~1" and "LOCALS~1" indicate the old MS-DOS style of 8.3 naming. Perhaps Wubi can't find what it needs? Try redownloading Wubi.

Also, is there any particular reason you need to use Wubi? I'd recommend a Live CD.

No,I want to install it with wubi.I think I've found the solution,it seems that I have to extract the image from the disc,and place it in the same folder as wubi.Thanks anyway.

lol do not use wubi.... Always use a live CD to install Ubuntu, and IMO use the live CD to upgrade Ubuntu as well.

For the most part, Wubi should be ok. At the very least, the theory behind it sounds fairly decent. However, I always try to caution people(especially people new to linux) away from it, as there seems to be occasional errors that correspond to Wubi installs, and the last thing new users want to deal with are extra problems.

If there's still trouble I would suggest trying a newer version of wubi. Maybe one for 10.4? Or 10.10?
