*nix on windows

i just wanted to know why i can still use *nix commands with my Windows XP software?

The unix commands you used weren't executed on your Windows computer, they were sent to the server and executed there.

I was trying to tell you dir is the equivalent of the Linux command you used for the mission.

If you thought that these commands were being executed on your computer, then you clearly did not understand the mission very well, so I hope that is not the case.

i know what you mean Mind but in my entire hacking career i have used *nix commands, i dont even understand how to use the microsoft dir

Open cmd.exe, cd to a folder, and type dir
Hit enter.
