Windows 7 in 6 different editions?

I fail to see what's wrong with having multiple editions tailored toward varying needs. I suppose you could just release a single edition with all of the bells and whistles of Enterprise, but that could end up being a universally stupid idea. A lot of people, like the author of that second article, seem to conveniently forget that the primary function of any business is to make a profit.
