Windows Programs to access secured wireless networks

I'm completely new to all this stuff and one of the main things I want to learn is how to get access to a secured wireless network. I know I need some type of program to be able to do so, but all of them are for Linux. Does anyone know any programs for windows that would allow me to do this?

Also, would anybody be willing to help me learn how to do this? It'd be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

If you're talking about cracking WEP keys, then i believe there is an aircrack suite ported to Windows. I've never tried it though.

Do you know where I can find this? Also, WEP networks are the easier ones to access, correct?

There's a program called Google that works with Windows. You should check it out before asking us more questions.

I'm agreeing with faz on this. A simple Google would get you what you want. And yes, WEP is substantially easier than WPA.

On average, yes. But if the WPA/2 password is "password" or "apple" then it'll be found a lot faster than a WEP key.

Regardless, in a situation with a pass like "password", encryption is futile. If you make your password that easy, it can always be cracked. As for more well-guarded passes, yeah, WEP is a bit too easy to crack for my tastes.

Okay..

I found a program that works with Windows and it's called, "Aircrack-ng" but it says I would need to write my own DLL codes to make it work with my wireless card. I did a google search this time but it only came up with Dell Support Issues.

Help?
